Ahead of the full integration with Tesla’s network, Nissan has already partnered with several major charging operators in the U.S. to offer Ariya owners access to over 90,000 fast chargers. This is part of Nissan’s new "Nissan Energy Charging Network," a virtual network that allows Ariya drivers to access chargers nationwide. The network includes operators like Electrify America, Shell Recharge, ChargePoint, and EVgo, with plans to incorporate Tesla Superchargers in the near future.
Through the MyNissan app, drivers can locate charging stations, check real-time availability, and pay for charging—all with a simple payment method setup. With nearly 100,000 DC fast chargers now available, Ariya owners will have no shortage of charging options across the U.S. and Canada.

What About Nissan LEAF Owners?
Unfortunately, Nissan LEAF owners won’t be joining the Tesla Supercharger integration due to the CHAdeMO charging connector used by the LEAF. While CHAdeMO remains the standard in Japan, it has largely been phased out in the U.S. and other regions. However, LEAF drivers can still find compatible fast chargers through the NissanConnect EV app, and for those who heavily rely on DC fast charging, our CCS1 to CHAdeMO adapter can bridge the gap, allowing LEAF owners to access CCS1-based DC chargestation from networks like Electrify America, Shell Recharge, ChargePoint, and EVgo.
The Future of Nissan EVs and NACS Compatibility
While the NACS adapter will provide a solution for current Ariya owners, Nissan has confirmed that it will begin rolling out new EVs with factory-installed NACS charging ports in the U.S. and Canada starting next year. This will streamline access to Tesla’s Supercharger network without the need for an adapter.
Ariya, like most non-Tesla EVs sold in the U.S., comes equipped with a CCS1 (Combined Charging System) port for fast charging. Tesla’s Supercharger stations, however, use the NACS port, which is why an adapter is needed for Ariya and other non-Tesla vehicles to charge at these stations. As with our NACS to CCS1 adapters, once Tesla opens its Supercharger network to Nissan Ariya drivers, our adapters will come in handy to ensure seamless charging.
Looking Ahead: More Nissan EVs on the Way
In addition to expanding its charging options, Nissan has ambitious plans for its electric vehicle lineup. According to reports, Nissan aims to introduce at least 16 new EV models globally by the end of the 2026 fiscal year, further solidifying its commitment to electrification and a sustainable future.
